NOTES:
|
Regular plastic case edition shrink-wrapped
with Obi-strip and the Fang Visual dvd.
In comparison to the UK release this edition has an alternate running order and
replaces 'Tore Up & Broke' with 'Point Of View'.
This album features guest appearences by Dr. John, Bernie Worrell and Willie
Weeks.
This version includes a DVD in card sleeve. This was also available free-of-charge direct from
the Matador Records webshop with any other purchase (NOT just Blues Explosion albums
as the rear sleeve states) or shrink-wrapped to copies of Plastic Fang.
The running order listed on rear sleeve is different to the one on the DVD menu
and when 'Play All' is selected they are played in a third alternate order AND there
are segments which can only be viewed using this option. The Jon Spencer dressed
as Father Christmas (see last two images above) footage only appears using 'Play
All'.
The Canadian TV appearance features Judah Bauer and Russell Simins playing guitar
with Jon Spencer ad-libbing vocals and stating that the first 50 people to turn-up
at that nights show with a box of donuts will get in free. Is he serious? "as serious
as cancer" apparently.
The final video is an edited performance from a French TV show. The original perfomance
lasts approximate 10 minutes and begins with High Gear which is closely followed
by Talk About The Blues. The footage on this DVD begins part way through the second
song and shows Jon Spencer running around the studio/through the audience and putting
on one of the most entertaining live appearences ever.
