Melvins tour edition of the tri-colour 7" split single with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion featuring their covers of Black Betty. This version is limited to 33 copies and has a numbered star next to the 'Melvins' text on the rear sleeve. There are a total of 200 tri-colour 7" singles; there were 33 Melvins tour copies, 66 Jon Spencer Blues Explosion copies and 100 had individually printed art show sleeves (all 10 are listed below).

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion version was recorded whilst they were on tour in Australia at Linear Recording, Sydney. The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion version of the track was used in a Volkswagen advert broadcast during Super Bowl XLV on 6th February 2011 (shown below). A 'making of' video can be seen on youtube.com [LINK]. Although the earliest known recording is by James Iron Head Baker and Group (1933) the Blues Explosion version has more in common with the Leadbelly adaption and the most famous rock arrangement is by Ram Jam.
