(NO) NEWS / LOST CRUSADERS FREE DOWNLOADS |
added: 13.JUNE.2008
At the moment there's not much news but the site is always active. There has been
a fair few press and review entries going up
including a John Peel review of the Mean Fiddler show
and a 1987 interview with The Most Hated Filmaker In The
World: John Spencer.
Keep a check on the UPDATES
page for what's new.
|
 |
We are expecting there to be a handful of Jon
Spencer Blues Explosion tour dates to be announced in the near future but
in the meantime have a look on the Lost Crusaders MySpace page for free downloads of
Have You Heard About The World?,
Downward Road Blues, Wasted On The Wind, I Don't Ask Why,
I Wonder What Ever taken from
forthcoming album
and a live video of Jon Spencer performing I Wonder What
Ever with the band.

added: 27.MAY.2008
The Jon
Spencer Blues Explosion will be playing live
at Rock en Seine (France) on August 29th 2008 with Amy Winehouse, The Raconteurs,
Roots, Justice, Kate Nash, The Streets, Jamie Lidell, Black Kids, Louis XIV and
DB CLifford. Tickets for 28th and 29th August are 75€ from Digitick.com.
Yes, it's 2008 and the Blues is back! So far this is the first news any
Blues Explosion
action for quite some time and we can only
assume there's a lot more to come. |
 |
So stay tuned and if you're aware of any events (anywhere
in the world) before they're listed here then please contact site so everything
can be kept up-to-date.
Also worth noting that it would seem that they're no longer
just The Blues Explosion as the official
ticket site bills them as Jon Spencer Blues
Explosion as does their website address.

UPDATES/FUTURE RELEASES |
added: 23.MAY.2008
Tour dates for Cat Power & Dirty
Delta Blues have been updated with several mostly European dates being
added in July, see the LIVE PAGE.
Naturally by Men Without Pants currently has a
release date of 22nd July 2008 and according to the Expansion Team Records website the band will be playing
live around the time of release. As with all members of the
Blues Explosion Mr Simins hasn't stopped
working for a second so in the future there should be more information on releases
by Morning Pages, Gillian Rivers
and maybe even Jena Malone?
Forthcoming releases featuring Jon Spencer include the
I Have Fun Everywhere I Go (CD), Lost Crusaders,
Monks: Transatlantic Feedback DVD and the new
edition of East River Delta (to be re-titled).
[Please contact the site if you know of anything
else as all these entries are currently incomplete I have no doubt there'll be a
lot more to add in the near future.]
