“HOT NEWS: Alec starts collaborating with Russell Simins (drummer with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion) and Gary Burger (original member of The Monks)!

They start recording a new version of the song “Black Monk Time” for a documentary film about The Monks in New York middle of January 2006…

Alec:” I am very excited about this! The Monks have spearheaded what any credible musician in the scene is about right now. To have the chance to do a project like this is just mind blowing. I heard The Monks first time on John Peel’s radio show a long time back. And they changed the way I looked at music ever since.

Their attitude was dramatically different to anything I had heard up until then. I’m on a high! Great!” –
