“Bob Bert is a pivotal figure from the New York/New Jersey rock n’ roll scene of the 1980s through today. Bert is a long-time Hoboken resident who has not only been the drummer for some of the most important bands of the 1980s and 1990s in that scene, but who also documented it in photos and interviews in a book released in 2019, “I’m Just the Drummer,” which establishes a link between the 1970s No Wave movement thru the 80s and 90s contemporary noise rock scene. He’ll sit down with Jack Silbert to spool out stories from his time with Sonic Youth and other bands, as well as his own fandom of other bands in the scene.”
