NOTES: | |
This edition comes in a tracing paper style outer sleeve which has the usual information and tracklisting in Japanese and the band line-up. Also features an alternate running-order, reply card, Japanese language insert (biography) and two bonus tracks; Defender and Count Me Out (both tracks from the Defender (7″, US) on In The Red). Later issued in Japan with a regular Obi strip (both editions have the same catalogue number and barcode).
The CD case has a clear tray behind which there is no artwork (other editions have a purple circular image and the word ‘Whiteout’). The vinyl edition of this album was probably issued at a much later date as it is identical to the US pressing with the exception of the fact that it’s on white vinyl. The Japanese, European and US releases all had different track listings and cover artwork. Whiteout, Get It While You Wait, Itchy & Scratchy and Defender were all released as singles. Itchy + Scratchy was used in a Levi’s advert and was issued on the following Levi’s-themed releases: Levi’s Music compilation, Engineered Jeans five track promo and a split promo CD with Clinic. |
