Ron Ward is in Speedball Baby with Matt Verta-Ray (also of Heavy Trash) whose album The Blackout featured appearances by Jon Spencer, Judah Bauer and Cristina Martinez whereas only Judah appeared on Uptight.

*According to the Bang Records website this was released on 13th May but the UK and US release dates are given as 7th and 8th of July. As the CD was manufactured in Spain on the 14th April it seems entirely likely that it was available in May.

FIVE DOLLAR PRIEST sounds like a trip on acid of NYC blues crossed with Pere Ubu and the angriest Birthday Party (as if it helped to get an idea of what it sounds like…).

This new band is formed by members coming from bands like Speedball Baby, Swans, Pussy Galore, Chrome Cranks etc. (not bad, uh?).
