Red vinyl 7″ in wraparound sleeve with white paper die-cut inner-sleeve. There are no details or information on the sleeve at all, labels are both plain white. This record is also available in other vinyl colours.
Cheerleader Mom is actually the Honeymoon Killers and although this is UNCONFIRMED one source states that this particular single “was recorded around the Hung Far Low tour, with Russell Simins on drums, and Judah Bauer taking Jon Spencer’s place ‘cause Cristina wouldn’t let him go on tour. Bifi Roll is an “originally German brand of sausage-based snacks” that the HMK’s found in German truck-stops while on tour.” John Peel played this track on a show broadcast on 7 June 1992 and refers to both versions of the song on the 7″ single and calls the artist as ‘Honeymoon Killers‘ rather than Cheerleader Mom. Live version includes censored introduction: “Hey, has anybody else heard? is er, is [edit] really dead? Does anyone know what I’m talkin’ about? The singer from [edit] supposedly overdosed and died, sure? well, this show is dedicated to him.” Both sides are cover versions of Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana. |
