“It was a short lived independent fashion market in an unlikely location in the curved arm of 60s office block that deep framed the sunken island at the mid point of Corporation Street. They opened the store calling it Hyper Active in a hopeful nod towards Kensington High Street’s Hyper Hyper. The London store threatened legal action so the place switched to trading as Mega Active instead. Very Birmingham. There was a tiny club room at the top of the small complex. The PA was rubbish for this Pussy Galore show, no vocals were audible at all. Don’t think they had any monitors either. Only the carburettor lashed to the top of Bob Bert’s kick drum came through loud and clear. – Dave Twist (https://www.instagram.com/dave_twist/)”

“The band God hired a bus and brought all of their friends up for the show from London (myself, members of Silverfish, girlfriends etc) and constituted most of the audience. The venue was a wine bar that didn’t sell beer!” – Gary Walker (https://www.instagram.com/garybrianwalker/)
