| UK release by Product Inc. with die-cut white paper inner sleeve. Re-issued by Mute/Matador on vinyl and CD in 1998.
The run-out groove engraving is identical to the original US pressing with the Caroline catalogue number lightly crossed-out. The UK test pressing is dated 29 October 1988 which means the release date would have been much later than the US release of 31 October 1998. Yü-Gung is a cover of a song by Einstürzende Neubauten. For the cover artwork Pussy Galore “wanted the Rolling Stones lips logo on the cover but Caroline Records got cold feet, permission was sought and, after a month or two, “Prince Rupert or someone or other sent a message – ‘Mr Jagger says no’, ‘So the cover’s now a carve-up inferno between the lips and Neubauten’s symbol so “we won’t get sued for it…But, if we did get sued, it would be great!” – Melody Maker: Insanity Claws (PRESS, UK) The original intended artwork was included as a sticker with the Japanese release on Supernatural Organization and appears on the rear sleeve of the bootleg 7″ single Love You Live. In 1998 Mute / Matador reissued Right Now!, Sugarshit Sharp and Dial ‘M’ for Motherfucker on both vinyl (with Posters) and CD. Matador Records issued a promo only Pussy Galore Sampler featuring tracks from all three albums. This release features a cover of Einstürzende Neubauten (Yü-Gung, released as a 12″ single). |
