Promo in stickered card sleeve issued by In The Red Records prior to the release of The Black Godfather featuring tracks not on the general release. According to the information given on the sleeve tracks 3, 4 and 5 were only available on this promo (and as free downloads on midheaven.com) and were not commercially released. Hit Squad featuring The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion did appear as a secret track on the US CD edition of this album, as the closing track on the Australian version and a bonus track on the Japanese edition. Live in Europe is a short live set featuring Andre Williams’ touring band The Countdowns. The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion recorded two songs for the album Andre Williams is The Black Godfather and Williams sang lead vocals on the song Lap Dance released on Acme Plus / Xtra Acme USA and as a 12″ single. Jon Spencer appears on and is credited as ‘Musical Director’ of the Andre Williams & The Sadies album Night & Day. A feature-length documentary titled Agile, Mobile, Hostile about Andre Williams was released in 2008.
