The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion set was recorded live (in Howard Stern’s studio) for K-ROCK, New York City, New York in February 1997*.

*The exact date of recording is unclear as the cassette gives it as February 10, 1997, Jake Fogelnest stated that it was the 19th and elsewhere it was recorded as the 27th. It is possible that one of the multiple dates may be as a result of differing recording and broadcast dates or just mistakes.

The show was presented by Jake Fogelnest who had to sit on the bass drum through-out the set to hold it steady as the band were playing.
