|Unmastered promo cassette (also made with white labels) with no artwork issued to the media far in advance of the commercial release (date given here is that of the official release this particular version may have been sent out as early as July or June 1994).
This album has been commercially released in many different editions including; orange cassette, picture disc, black vinyl, CD, orange-sleeved CD/Vinyl (in Germany), expanded CD (2000), black vinyl with poster (2000), 2 disc CD (2010) and Shove! vinyl reissue (2011).
In 2010 Shout! Factory / Shove! released a deluxe version of Orange with Experimental Remixes and a number of rare, live and previously unreleased tracks.

“JS: Have you heard the album?
EB: Yeah, I got it last week.
EB: Well, it said “unmastered advance,” but it sounded pretty good to me. ”
A note on Matador promo cassettes:
“Prior to 1996 most full-length albums were sent to press etc. prior to release as advance cassettes. Some were hand-dubbed; by 1993-96 they were produced for us by Atlantic and usually had generic black and white inlays.
