“Amphetamine Reptile Records was founded in 1986, while Halo Of Flies frontman Haze XXL was on a four year drinking bender in the United States Marine Corps. After a dishonorable discharge for excessively violent behavior, Haze XXL returned to Minneapolis to dry out. Unfortunately He hooked up with the likes of Surgery, Cows, God Bullies, Vertigo, Boss Hog, Helmet and others. At this point recovering from alcholism was next to impossible, not to mention the start of a raging Meth-amthetamine habit. The label became a growing concern as cash was needed to fund growing habits and build the necessary arsenal for the coming apocalypse. Reflecting Haze’s paranoid obsessions with horsepower, firepower and raw power the label continues to this day without straying from its original vision.Amen brothers & sisters.”
