I’m Not Like Everybody Else was originally released by the Kinks on 3rd June 1966 as the B-side to the Sunny Afternoon 7″ single, the track later appeared as a bonus track on the 1998 CD re-issue of Face To Face. |

“Set in Burnfield, Texas, “SubUrbia” depicts a beer-soaked 24-hour period in the lives of seven people stuck somewhere between high school and the rest of their lives. The film is an adaption of Eric Bogosian’s like-titled 1994 play. Directed by Richard Linklater (“Slacker”, “Dazed and Confused”), “subUrbia” will be released by Castle Rock Entertainment (and distributed by Sony Classics) in February 1997.
subUrbia – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (scheduled for release Feb. 4, 1997, on DGC Records) features three new tracks from Sonic Youth, who created the film’s original score; Elastica’s retooling of X’s “Unheard Music” featuring Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus; and Gene Pitney’s 1962 classic “Town Without Pity”.
