Soundtrack album for Suburbia features Boss Hog covering I’m Not Like Everybody Else which is previously unreleased. Issued on CD and cassette. I’m Not Like Everybody Else was originally released by the Kinks on 3rd June 1966 as the B-side to the Sunny Afternoon 7″ single, the track later appeared as a bonus track on the 1998 CD re-issue of Face To Face.

“Set in Burnfield, Texas, “SubUrbia” depicts a beer-soaked 24-hour period in the lives of seven people stuck somewhere between high school and the rest of their lives. The film is an adaption of Eric Bogosian’s like-titled 1994 play. Directed by Richard Linklater (“Slacker”, “Dazed and Confused”), “subUrbia” will be released by Castle Rock Entertainment (and distributed by Sony Classics) in February 1997. subUrbia – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (scheduled for release Feb. 4, 1997, on DGC Records) features three new tracks from Sonic Youth, who created the film’s original score; Elastica’s retooling of X’s “Unheard Music” featuring Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus; and Gene Pitney’s 1962 classic “Town Without Pity”.
