| This is a promo pre-printed CDR with paper cover in PVC sleeve (includes business card). Issued by Crunchy Frog and includes Dark Hair’d Rider from the debut album by Heavy Trash. This song was also issued as one-track promo CD.
The generic promo disc is stickered with the title ‘Crunchy Sampler 2006′. *’PROMOFROG’ is a generic catalogue number pre-printed on the disc but features no additional numbers. Normally a Crunchy Frog promo CD will follow this with a specific number such as ‘PROMOFROG 041-1’ for the Heavy Trash – Dark Hair’d Rider one track promo. Jon Spencer appeared on releases by Powersolo (Egg) and Tremolo Beer Gut (Under The Influence of…). Powersolo would later perform as part of the Heavy Trash live band and both artists released a split EP titled Favoritenserie no. 2. The Tremolo Beer Gut would record a version of The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion track She Said which was released as a b-side to the single Shakin’ Rock ‘n’ Roll Tonight and a few years later Yebo (of The Tremolo Beer Gut) was to perform in the Heavy Trash live band and appears on Going Way Out with Heavy Trash. |
