This is the UK release of King Creole by Elvis Presley, issued by RCA Records and featuring songs written and recorded specifically for the film of the same name.
The album entered the UK charts on 13 September 1958 and reached the number one position during it’s 22 week run in the UK chart (#2 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart). Pussy Galore covered the track Crawfish for Historia De La Musica Rock which was the bands last studio album released in 1990. Boss Hog also covered the track in their live sets and was mentioned in a New York Times review from a show at Maxwell’s, Hoboken, NJ on 5 February 1992. |
