7″ single in picture sleeve with plastic molded labels. Although the single originally made its UK chart entry on 9th August 1980 and reached #14 this is the 1985 re-issue.

This song was originally written for the 1977 Martin Scorsese film New York, New York and was performed by Liza Minnelli. Frank Sinatra recorded it for his triple album Trilogy: Past Present Future.

Cat Power recorded a shorterned version (2 mins approx.) of New York [LYRICS] for the 2008 album Jukebox. The track was also issued as a one track promo CD, performed live and appeared on the Black Sessions live CD.
