NOTES: | |
Split single issued in wrap-around sleeve, song credits and notes are printed on the inside (see images).
The Wat Tyler cover parodies The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion band name and uses the Extra Width sleeve with the face of Jon Spencer replaced with that of Michael Crawford (as Frank Spencer). The following extract is from the sleeve notes: “The cover of this record is a spoof of the Jon Spencer Extra Width sleeve. The only trouble is that some sneaky little fucker at Melody Maker stole my idea for the joke page, but fuck them. I know it was my idea, so that’s all that matters. I detest Jon Spencer for absolutely no reason, but it is healthy to have pet hates. If only the Fall were worth taking the piss out of” |

A1. J Church – If I’m Lonley “If I’m Lonley…” is (c) and (p) “Open 25 Hours” Music (BMI) A2. J Church – At The End Of The M1 J Church were Lance, Gardener and Wade If I’m Lonely… B1. Wat Tyler – Played For And Got Which just for the record, happened at three o clock in the morning. It was pretty surreal dancing round to the new part of the little people, at that tme in the morning. This song is about losing in love and life. Very sad and I’m sure you don’t want to hear any more about it. B2. Wat Tyler – Smells Like Dog Poo B3. Wat Tyler – If The Kids Are United WAT TYLER ARE: The cover of this record is a spoof of the Jon Spencer Extra Width sleeve. The only tourble is that some sneaky little fucker at Melody Maker stole my idea for the joke page, but fuck them. I know it was my idea, so that’s all that matters. I detest Jon Spencer for absolutely no reason, but it is health to have pet hates. It only the Fall were worth taing the piss out of, in the next few months here will be total Tyler overload, so start thinking about that bank job… |
