No-Neck Blues Explosion – I Am Victor Hugo (7″, US)

February 1997 n/a NNCKBX#1

A. I Am Victor Hugo

B. The Crack-Up

VIEW:
NOTES:
Black vinyl 7″ with white labels in wraparound picture sleeve with die-cut white paper inner sleeve limited to 300 copies with hand-written no. in black ink (this copy is ’67/300′).

This is alledgedly a ‘hoax’ record referencing the No Neck Blues Band and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

“That No Neck Blues Explosion 7″ was indeed a hoax – it was done by the two principal minds behind the fanzine Tuba Frenzy, who were also in the band Joby’s Opinion…some ’90s Chapel Hill, NC ephemera. One of them told me he sent a copy to – I think – David Nuss at the time, and he wasn’t too amused.” – originally posted on ihatemusic board.
