“Hanover, Germany, 1988. PG. We played a great set. 30 minutes. Maybe 35 minutes. Ugly audience of skinheads loved it. They loved it so much that they REALLY wanted more. We came out and played a 20 second encore “White Trash” and then left the stage again. They didn’t like that. They were kind of rude. The club told us we had to go back on or not get paid / maybe face some repercussions. We came back on. I told a joke. About my family members maybe being in their back pocket. Or perhaps providing for nice soft lighting in their living room. those jokes didn’t go over very well. So we played another encore. YAY!!! Maybe thirty seconds more of music (perhaps “Fuck You, Man” … BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! When we left the club, they gave us a special send off, surrounding our van and rocking it back and forth.
