| Double album on black vinyl in gatefold sleeve, each record is in a white paper die-cut inner sleeve.
Commercially released on CD (US / JAPAN) and double vinyl and issued as a promo CD with alternate disc artwork. This is album is a compilation of exclusive tracks all recorded at Dub Narcotic Studios. Blues Explosion Attack features many band name-checks* and lyrics which were not included on the re-worked, re-recorded and much shorter version which was later released as Attack on Acme. *One of which is Sleater Kinney who had played a show with the band the previous day. The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion recorded a cover of the Dub Narcotic Soundsystem song Fuck Shit Up which was released on Now I Got Worry (RELEASE / LYRICS) and a live version was issued on Controversial Negro (RELEASE / LYRICS). The two bands would also collaborate on the album Sideways Soul: Dub Narcotic Sound System Meets The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in a Dancehall Style which was released the following year. |
