SLEEVE NOTES:
“Greetings,

Here comes a whole caboodle of music that soundtracked not only the film, but also the writing of the screenplay itself.

As one might expect, the writing of HOT FUZZ was accompanied by an epic selection of cop movie music. For some reason, there was also a generous side serving of glam.

I don’t know what it is about stomping glitter riffs that inspired me during this creative period. It may have been nostalgic feelings towards the West Country where as a youngster I would hear the sounds of 70’s rock pumping out of timewarping jukeboxes.

It may be that bubblegum rock perfectly equates with the popcorn cinema to which I am similarly addicted.

It may be simply be that Blockbuster by the mighty Sweet starts with the police siren blaring before it kicks into a killer intro.

Either way, please smother yourself in the glam, but also wallow in the best of British ‘the’ bands, from the The Kinks to The Troggs to The Move. Revel in the eccentric sonic stylings of the Crazy World Of Arthur Brown and XTC.
From the thunderous drumming of Cozy Powell and Adam Ant right up to raucous energy of Supergrass and The Fratellis, this is an epic journey into solid gold territory.

And that ain’t all – you have special contributions from Mister Robert Rodriguez in Austin, TX and Mister Jon Spencer in NY, NY, not to mention our very own David Arnold in London, who once again gives a great scrore.

David Opens and closes with sweeping sounds so affecting that you will be moved to man-tears even if you’re a lady.

That’s a whole lot of music already. Sprinkle in the skills of Osymyso on the mixing desk and you’ve been positively spoilt by The Fuzz.

I do hope you enjoy.
